Three steps to covered
You tell us about your operation once. We take it to the market and come back with options you can understand.
Tell us about your truck
Use the short form or call us. Having these ready speeds things up:
- USDOT and MC numbers, if you have them
- CDL experience for each driver
- Year, make and VIN for each truck
- Where the trucks are kept overnight
- What you haul and how far you run
- Current policy and loss runs, if insured before (your agent reviews them as part of the quote)
We shop multiple carriers
As an independent agency, we take your details to several truck insurance carriers instead of just one.
Your agent walks you through it
You see the options side by side in plain language, ask anything, and choose what fits your trucks and budget.
We will call you back as soon as possible.

Straight answers
Don't see your question? Call and ask. There's no charge to talk it through.
How much liability insurance does my truck need?
For most for-hire trucks rated 10,001 lbs or more that haul general freight across state lines, federal rules set the minimum at $750,000. Hazardous materials call for $1 million or $5 million depending on the load. Many brokers and shippers ask for more than the minimum.
Do I need cargo insurance?
Federal rules require cargo coverage only for household goods carriers. In practice, most brokers and shippers ask for it before they give you a load, so most owner-operators and fleets carry it.
Can I get insured before my MC number is active?
Yes, and you have to. Operating authority isn’t granted until the minimum insurance is on file, so the insurance step comes before your first load.
What's the difference between primary and non-trucking liability?
Primary liability covers you while you haul under your own authority. Non-trucking liability is for owner-operators leased to a carrier, and covers the truck when it is used outside that carrier's dispatch.
Do you insure truckers outside Florida?
Yes. We're headquartered in Florida and licensed in FL, GA, IN, MS, NC, OH, PA, SC, SD, TN and VA. Call us and an agent will confirm what we can write for your state and operation.
